Words and chocolate

I do so love my fabulous penpal!
These chocolatey packages of joy arrive every month or two, and remind me of how beautiful snail mail can be.
The assortment of chocolates from all over the world have inspired me to start having monthly indulgences at VERO, (otherwise known as The Most Incredible Chocolate Connoisseur Paradise in Hong Kong).
These I will flamboyantly bask in while wearing the peacock-bright summer dresses that I've just had tailored.
If all goes well, I may have more boutique tailored items available for the bold and the beautiful in a few months time. This means YOU! Unless you're a guy, then this means FOR THE WOMEN in your life.
Because, as we all know, flowing soft silk tops and bold brocade obi-style belts most definitely look best wrapped over the curves of the fabulous female form.

Heartbreak and the storm

The thunder of two nights past roars a crisp memory in my mind.
Bolts of electricity tore the sky that night, and the voice of nature roared a threat that has terrified humans for generations.
Laying under the rolling clouds, soaking in wet lumps of soggy water thrown carelessly from above, I realize that fear in silence of the mind is (as touched on in my last blog entry) actually excitement, or exhilaration even.
To lay safe yet vulnerable, unsure but trusting in the passing moments, is to remember that there are ways to experience that are extremely human... actually and physically human, on the most basic level- not influenced by computers or phones or technology, which feed our minds and leave our bodies and souls sadly dying, heartbroken at being forsaken.
And this brings up the minds power over our reality- the chasing of a dream or the wanting of a reality to replace this moment with something better, something different, something more.
It makes me wonder...
What if there is no more? What if there's just you and me and a story we wrote, sitting in the storm?

I'm really glad yesterday is over.

"It is so hot today that all one can do is dress in fabulously bright colours and sit like a great butterfly, fanning ones wings in the bright afternoon sun."

Yesterday danced and twirled icarean in the light, tumbling and burning in a horrible mess as the day wore on.
Hey, sometimes that happens and you say "Wow. That was spectacularly bad. I am really, really, reeeeally glad that it's over." Now the river of time has carried me away to a place of creation and musing, where I sit on silent banks under a silent blanket of sky and wonder why it is that life laughs as I cry and people are so afraid of the dark that they turn their back on it and avoid it at all costs. If there was a great dark danger lurking around me, I most definitely would want to be facing it!! But maybe that's my Scorpio nature...

Queen Raven in B&W

Just an insight into the shots taken with Anthony Lam for the 'Raven as The Queen' concept.
Going to fly the files over the interweb-waves to see if they catch on the heart-strings of any postage-stamp-loving artists out there.
With some retouching and frilly stamp frames, we may have some fun little pics to play with... and do what with?
No idea... but it was fabulous fun.

Next up... making dresses like Ava Gardners for another shoot and for use in a ten-minute-short on her, with me as Ava, of course.
Channeling the greatness!
What a fab weekend... ooh and advanced bookings for The Met Live in HD have started... I'm getting mine! See you there.
